Our infrared thermal imaging camera is one of the many pieces of advanced technology we use on every inspection we perform. The camera allows your Certified Professional Inspector to see places that they otherwise couldn’t see using conventional inspection methods.

FLIR Thermography Camera

Most people have never heard of an infrared thermal camera, while some people have seen similar technology used in action movies. In simple terms, an infrared thermal camera is a specialized camera that detects and highlights temperature changes. The FLIR thermography camera creates an image based on the temperature differential indicated. This allows you to get the most information possible out of the home inspection. It’s an extremely valuable part of the home inspection process.

We use these cameras on EVERY inspection we perform. While some companies don’t use them at all, or charge extra for them, we use them for FREE as part of every comprehensive home inspection. Some of the areas we use the camera on include the walls and ceilings inside the home. These are places where our eyes are limited by the drywall. However, the thermal camera can detect things such as leaks, or even missing insulation, behind the drywall. We also use the camera on the electrical panel of the home to make sure everything is operating as it should be.

We have found countless leaks on home inspections by using this tool. Without it, we never would have known they were there. We have also found numerous rooms where insulation was not installed. These items are easily fixable, but if left unattended, they can be costly issues for homeowners.
